Words from Spencer to you all...
Sabaidee!
First of all, a big thank you for visiting my homepage—I'm so glad you're here!
Don't forget to head over to my Facebook and hit "Like" on the SpencerLaosNewWave fan page der—it keeps you updated on new music, videos, events, and behind-the-scenes vibes.
"Jow Lem Lao Bau" is my very first single from the album, and it became my #1 download on iTunes back in the day! Be sure to check out the English version too: "Flames of Love"—both are still streaming everywhere and hold a special place in my heart.
My debut album is called Spencer Laos New Wave. It's packed with upbeat dance tracks that bring back that classic NEW WAVE energy, but with fresh pop/dance sounds and a Lao/Thai twist. Think nostalgic vibes meets all-new production!
I always knew I'd join a band one day—and I did! We traveled around performing at parties and weddings. Those were the best times: young, carefree, no real responsibilities, just pure fun and music.
Now, looking back, I'm so happy to say I've met so many interesting people and learned a ton along the way as I've grown. My family has always loved music—especially my sister Sue. She was constantly playing the latest pop songs and sharing her new favorites with me. They're all my biggest inspiration. We're a big, close-knit family—always tight and supportive.
A little more about Spencer der
.
"People still ask, 'When did you start in music?' It wasn't one big moment—it was woven into my whole childhood.
Our home was alive with Thai and Lao music on cassette tapes. That was it for entertainment back then—those tapes were everything. My sister and I would spend hours pretending to be the singers and dancers, copying every move and melody until it felt completely natural, like it was part of us.
Our parents hosted those classic Asian-family dinner parties, filling the house with friends, food, and laughter. They'd have us kids perform—singing and dancing for the guests. After each show, tips would roll in. Earning a whole dollar as a little kid? That was massive. It lit something up in me: the joy of performing, connecting, and getting paid for what felt like play.
Teen years got heavy, like they do for so many. Life was hard, but it cracked open real discovery. I started writing lyrics, pouring my experiences into words and melodies.
Fast-forward to 2026: I'm an Atlanta-based content creator, wearing all the hats—producing music (blending those early cultural roots with fresh sounds), acting in projects, directing visuals and videos, and building stories across platforms. Atlanta's creator energy is electric right now, and it's the perfect spot to grow.
These days, we're able to do so much—thanks to technology. There are endless resources and tools at our fingertips: AI helpers for generating ideas, polishing tracks, editing videos in minutes, creating visuals, even storyboarding films from home. What used to take big studios and budgets now happens in bedrooms and laptops. It's democratized everything, letting independent creators like me experiment, iterate fast, and bring visions to life without waiting for permission.
Someday soon, I hope to step deeper into filming—directing shorts, features, whatever lets me tell these stories on a bigger screen. From family living-room performances and those first dollar tips to producing, directing, and creating in ATL today, it's all connected. Grateful for the roots, thrilled by the tools, and excited for what's next. 🎶🎥🇹🇭🇱🇦
If you're into soulful music, heartfelt visuals, or cross-cultural stories—let's connect. Collabs, chats, or just vibes—DMs open."
This keeps your story personal and inspiring while celebrating how tech has leveled the playing field in 2026. It positions you as someone who's evolved with the times, ambitious, and approachable.
Thoughts? Want to emphasize specific tools (like AI music generators or video editors), add more Atlanta pride, make it punchier, or tweak the phrasing? Or need versions for Instagram/TikTok bios? Just say the word! 🚀

Back in the mid-80s, New Wave music was everywhere and totally captured me. Growing up hearing those synths and beats, I always dreamed of writing my own lyrics and singing them. One day, I wanted to bring that classic New Wave vibe back—with a special Lao/Thai twist to make it my own.
